A Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed on the Establishment of the International Eurasian Laboratory at the Institute of Physics

A delegation from the International CORE Academy of Sciences and Humanities, including Professor Li Lei, Professor Yingsan Geng, Dr. Raymond J. Wu, and Ms. Lianzhi Liu, visited the Institute of Physics under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Academician Arif Hashimov, Director General of the Institute of Physics. Following a cordial meeting, the guests met with the staff of the institute. During the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on the Establishment of the International Eurasian Laboratory.

Academician Arif Hashimov opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks, introducing the activities of the Institute of Physics to the guests and attendees. Subsequently, Professor Li Lei, Member of the Executive Board of the International CORE Academy of Sciences and Humanities, delivered a speech and presented an overview of the Academy’s mission and programs.

Afterwards, the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on the Establishment of the International Eurasian Laboratory was officially signed between the Institute of Physics and the International CORE Academy of Sciences and Humanities. The document was signed by Academician Arif Hashimov, Director General of the Institute of Physics, and Professor Li Lei, Member of the Executive Board of the International CORE Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Within the framework of this cooperation, the two sides aim to strengthen integration in science and education, promote collaboration in scientific research and development, cultivate talents and educational programs, enhance technology transfer and innovation, and jointly conduct scientific research. The partnership also envisions the establishment of a joint laboratory under the “Belt and Road” initiative platform.

During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for expanding collaboration and implementing joint projects in the future.

Gifts were exchanged between the parties. Professor Li Lei, Member of the Executive Board of the CORE Academy, presented the Honorary Certificate of Representation as a Partner of the CORE Global Partnership Network to the Institute of Physics.

Following the signing ceremony, presentations were delivered by Prof. Rustam Rustamov, Prof. Dr. Li Lei, Prof. Yingsan Geng, Prof. Dr. Nariman Rahmanov, Assoc. Prof. Faiq Rzayev, Prof. Dr. Tarana Nurubayli, Prof. Dr. Nahida Musayeva, and PhD Mehti Jamalov.

At the end of the visit, the Chinese guests toured the institute’s laboratories and became acquainted with the ongoing research projects.
