Academic Divisions

The Academic Divisions are an integral and merit-based component of the International Core Academy of Sciences and Humanities. The Academy comprises five academic divisions and has over 300 members, including Fellows and Corresponding Fellows.

Division of Natural Sciences

The Division of Natural Sciences encompasses the fundamental sciences that study the physical universe and living systems through observation, experimentation, and theoretical modeling. It includes, but is not limited to:

 ·  Physics (theoretical and experimental; atomic, molecular, and optical physics; condensed matter; particle physics; astrophysics)

 ·  Astronomy and Astrophysics

 ·  Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

 ·  Environmental Science and Sustainability

 ·  Medical Sciences

 ·  Biophysics and Chemical Biology

(This division includes both foundational and interdisciplinary sciences that seek to understand the laws of nature, the structure of matter, and the complexity of living systems.)

Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences
