We are pleased to announce exciting news for our fellow Professor Shavkat Ayupov, who was elected the new president of Uzbekistan’s Academy of Sciences on December 16, 2024.

According to Professor Shavkat Ayupov, this decision was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Shavkat Ayupov

Shavkat Ayupov is a Fellow of the CORE Academy in the Division of Mathematics and Information Sciences. He is the Director of  V. I. Romanovskiy Institute of Mathematics of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, a full professor at the Mathematics Department of Tashkent State University, and a member (academician) of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences. He was also elected a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) in 2003. He was awarded the title of Hero of Uzbekistan in 2021, and he holds the title of Distinguished Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2011). Shavkat Ayupov's research fields primarily focus on functional analysis, Algebra, and Topology.
