(At the invitation of Academician Isa Habibbayli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (FCAcad), a delegation from the CORE Academy (International Core Academy of Sciences and Humanities) attended the grand celebration marking the 80th Anniversary of ANAS in Baku. The delegation included Professor Li Lei, Member of the Executive Board; Professor Yingsan Geng, Member of the Council; Dr. Raymond J. Wu, Executive Vice Secretariat-General; and Ms. Lianzhi Liu, Secretariat Assistant. During the commemorative conference, Professor Li Lei (and Dr. Raymond J. Wu) delivered an important speech on behalf of the CORE Academy, emphasizing the shared vision of strengthening global scientific cooperation, fostering joint research and innovation projects, and cultivating young scientific talent between Azerbaijan and China and the World Scientists. Professor Li Lei: “I see great potential for the realization of joint research and innovation projects among Azerbaijani scientists.”

“It is a great honor to speak at this historic gathering. For me, it is truly an interesting and impressive event. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), I sincerely congratulate the entire Azerbaijani scientific community. This anniversary is not only a symbol of a glorious scientific path that has been traversed but also an inspiring milestone for new scientific achievements.”

These words were said by Professor Li Lei, a member of the Board of the CORE Academy, during the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of ANAS.

“I fondly recall our meeting with the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, held in China, and I believe that this connection provides a solid foundation for expanding mutual scientific cooperation. In the future, I see great potential for the realization of joint research and innovation projects between CORE Academy and Azerbaijani scientists.

Global scientific initiatives, the strengthening of trust in information exchange, the training of young scientists, the establishment of joint laboratories, and the development of international academic methodology all contribute to forming a more open, inclusive, and efficient global cooperation system. Our goal is the same — to strengthen regional connections in these directions.

The areas I mentioned represent leading directions in global science and contribute to the economic prosperity of nations. We sincerely wish that science and technology continue to advance, and that humanity no longer faces unsolvable common global problems,” Professor Li Lei emphasized.
