CORE Academy is pleased to share that the Chinese version of Manifesto for a Transdisciplinary School, contributed by Piero Formica, Fellow of the CORE Academy, has now been formally published through Ke Rui Academy, the Academy’s research institute. The English version was previously presented by the CORE Academy Secretariat with the author’s authorization, and the newly released Chinese version further extends the reach of this important text to a wider Chinese-speaking readership.

This manifesto offers a thoughtful reflection on the growing fragmentation of knowledge in the modern age and calls for a renewed transdisciplinary vision of education, research, and intellectual life. It argues for a deeper dialogue among the sciences, the humanities, and the arts, and highlights the particular importance of humanistic reflection in an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. These themes are closely aligned with CORE Academy’s long-standing commitment to interdisciplinarity, intellectual exchange, and the advancement of knowledge for the benefit of humanity.
The Chinese version has been prepared and presented with respect for the spirit and central concerns of the original text, while also being adapted in light of Chinese language and readership needs. The Chinese page notes that the version was jointly presented by Professor Piero Formica and the CORE Academy Secretariat, with Chinese translation and editing by Raymond Jiarui Wu.
CORE Academy warmly welcomes the wider dissemination of this work in Chinese and hopes it will encourage further reflection on the future of education, the renewal of humanistic thought, and the reconstruction of knowledge beyond rigid disciplinary boundaries.
